In my role, I reported directly to the CTO based in Ireland. I played a key role in creating a design system from scratch while managing projects for major ISP providers in the UK. This position often required me to collaborate efficiently with a small, creative, cross-functional team located remotely, ensuring we met our clients' expectations for both quality and timely delivery.
I conducted in-depth conversations with stakeholders to glean insights into their business goals and user needs. This foundational understanding was essential in guiding all design decisions.
I meticulously developed information architecture to create a logical flow for user interactions. Additionally, I crafted compelling visual designs that aligned with both brand guidelines and user expectations.
Effective communication was vital as I collaborated with remote teams and UK counterparts to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. This involved regular check-ins and updates to streamline our workflow.
Leveraging my expertise, I conducted heuristic evaluations of our designs to identify usability issues and areas for improvement, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.
Throughout the development phase, I proactively addressed and resolved any issues related to the user interface. My hands-on approach facilitated a smoother transition from design to implementation.
In this role, the primary deliverables included visual designs and UX research. To achieve these outputs, I utilized tools such as Dovetail for user research tasks, Figma for visual and brainstorming sessions, Confluence for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations. This blend of design and documentation skills allowed me to contribute effectively to our projects and support the broader objectives of the organisations and our clients.
